Una Healy has broken her silence on her much-talked-about ‘throuple’ with David Haye and his on/off girlfriend Sian Osborne.
The Saturdays singer, 41, raised eyebrows earlier this year when it was reported she was in a three-way relationship with the boxer, 42, and the model, 35 – fuelling the claims by posting a cosy snap of the trio on holiday in Morroco.
Yet speaking publicly about the unconventional setup for the first time, Una has insisted that she was never part of a ‘throuple’, revealing the only person she was dating was David – although he was simultaneously dating Sian.
Speaking to Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, Una revealed that she had been ‘hoodwinked’ into joining the relationship and that David had been pushing the ‘throuple’ narrative.
Una – who has two children with her ex-husband Ben Foden – explained: ‘Dating HIM is the right term because that’s how it was, it wasn’t a throuple. We had a lovely relationship.’

Revealing how the romance began, she explained that she’d come across David’s profile on celebrity dating app Raya but the pair had agreed to just be friends because she was concerned by his past.
Referring to infidelity rumours that have plagued David, Una confessed: ‘I straight out asked him “what are you looking for?” because I did a Google and thought “I’m probably going straight from the frying pan to the fire with this one because he did exactly to his wife what my ex husband did to me.” I didn’t like that.’
Una revealed that David told her that he was single but that he ‘didn’t believe the traditional relationship exists anymore’, so Una decided to call an end to anything romantic.
However, after speaking every day, the pair grew close and began to see each other casually and would go on dates whenever the Irish beauty was in London for work.
‘It was casual, it wasn’t serious,’ she explained. ‘I was happy enough with it. It was in a romantic capacity.
‘He was very honest that I wasn’t the only woman he was seeing, I was very aware he was seeing other people. I knew he was being honest and it’s not like I was being cheated on.
‘I knew he wasn’t husband material, just a bit of fun and I was enjoying it.’
However, Una revealed that gradually she became aware that David was talking more and more to his ex-girlfriend Sian and so she asked the boxer what was going on.
David then confessed that Sian was still ‘very involved’ in his life and because he found both women ‘very special’ he wanted them to meet.
Yet Una didn’t want to meet Sian but at the same time was concerned that the news she and David were dating would become public and it would appear as though he was cheating on Sian.
Una reasoned: ‘At least if we were all pictured together we’re all a happy family, there’s nothing sinister going on.
‘He doesn’t label, he’s never called her [Sian] his girlfriend, he’s open, polyamorous. So I did meet her and she was a really nice girl but there was nothing going on there so it wasn’t a throuple. I wasn’t romantic with her, I don’t really know her.’

Three’s company: Una revealed that she had been ‘hoodwinked’ into joining the relationship and that David had been pushing the ‘throuple’ narrative
The trio sent tongues wagging in January when David shared a cosy snap with his arms around the bikini-clad beauties on a trip to Morocco but Una was quick to clear up the circumstances surrounding their festive getaway.
She explained that she wanted to leave Ireland over Christmas because it was ex-husband Ben’s turn to have their children Tadhg, seven, and Aoife Bell, 10, for the holidays.
Una had asked David if he wanted to go on holiday but revealed the boxer had insisted that Sian join them for the getaway.
She recalled: ‘The honesty was there and I found that attractive. I remember on the flight over he was in the middle seat and he had one hand on her leg and one hand on mine.
‘I said to him, “what am I doing?” and he goes “you’re having a midlife crisis but don’t worry so am I!” and I thought “she’s [Sian’s] not because she’s 10 years younger!’
After returning from the trip, claims of a ‘throuple’ began to emerge in the media, with Una confessing she had to Google the term because she’d never heard of it but was being ‘trolled to death’ on her social media.
Despite being confused by the ‘throuple’ term she decided to head on another holiday with David and Sian, with the trio heading to Costa Rica.
Yet during the trip she felt a ‘sign’ when she heard the track The Boy Is Mine by Brandy and Monica, a song about two love rivals feuding over a man.
Una confessed: ‘As soon as I got there, I could hear the song. It just wasn’t right.
‘There’s no dynamic there – she’s not my girlfriend – he’s both our boyfriend and I just thought, “I’m out, you can have him.”
‘He can have whoever he wants because one [woman] will never be enough for him.’
After explaining to David that she could no longer date him, she revealed he told her that she’d ‘unsubscribed from the team’ but added that it was ‘fair enough, you do what makes you happy,’ with Una noting ‘he’s just living his truth, his authentic self.’
Although their relationship had ended in January, David shocked her by paying tribute to her on Valentine’s Day.
Asked by podcast host Joanne if the ‘throuple’ was a narrative being pushed by David, Una mused: ‘I think he was very happy about it but I was in bits about it.
‘He didn’t get it, he was always trying to coach me on how not to get upset but I’ve never had to hit the block button so much. I had a list of words blocked on Instagram.
‘I don’t want to be in a three-way relationship!’
As Joanne quipped, ‘you were hoodwinked into a throuple’, Una agreed: ‘I was!’
Despite this, Una revealed that she harbours no bad feelings towards David, insisting that there was no bitterness and that while she doesn’t talk to Sian, she still keeps in contact with the boxer.
‘I really enjoyed my relationship with him,’ Una confessed. ‘He was very kind to me and very honest but it ran its course and I’ve been single ever since.’
Revealing that she’s now staying off dating apps, she explained that she wants to meet a partner naturally but is only seeking a monogamous relationship.
After ‘hating’ the first half of the year, Una is looking forward to getting back into music, revealing she’s releasing a single pointedly called Walk Away, noting that it does rhyme with David Haye.
On her decision to speak out on the ‘throuple’, she mused: ‘I feel relieved I’ve got to say my bit. The truth from the horse’s mouth.’
It’s since been claimed that David and Sian have welcomed a new woman into their ‘thouple’.

Fashion model Sian has been in a relationship with David since 2020 when she modelled for his Black Mask Company.
Sian has appeared on various magazine covers in the UK and Middle East, and starred in an ad campaign for Chinese beer Tsingtao.
David was previously married to Natasha Haye, with whom he has one son, Cassius, 14.
Una, meanwhile, shares children Tadgh and Aoife with her rugby player ex-husband Ben Foden, whom she divorced in 2018.
Ben tied the knot with his second wife Jackie Smith Foden in 2019 just two weeks after they met and welcomed their daughter Farrah the following year.
