Dolly Parton is transforming from a country music legend to a rock star with the release of her first ever rock album entitled Rockstar.
The 77-year-old Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame inductee revealed the cover art and track list for Rockstar, while announcing it will be released on November 17.
The album is currently available for pre-order on her official website, with the first single – World on Fire – debuting on Thursday.
The news comes just after she attended a preview of her Dolly! All-Access Pop-Up Store in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday.
The 4 LP/2 CD album will feature 30 songs – nine original tracks from Parton and 21 classic rock covers with collaborators such as Elton John, Sting, Pink and more.

Parton unveiled the artwork to her 5.9 million followers on Instagram on Tuesday, featuring the singer behind the wheel of a car in a lacy minidress.
‘I’m a rockstar now! My new album ‘Rockstar’ is coming November 17 and it’s available for pre-order. Let’s rock n’ roll,’ she said in the caption of her post.
She also announced the news in a press release on her official website, which included a statement from the singer.
‘I’m so excited to finally present my first rock n’ roll album, Rockstar!’ Parton said began in her statement.
‘I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time, and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure,’ she added.
‘I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!’ Parton concluded.
Parton will debut the first single World on Fire on Thursday, during the 58th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which she is hosting with Garth Brooks.
‘This is a song I felt very inspired to write. I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time,’ she said of the single.

The title track Rockstar features Richie Sambora, with Either Or featuring Kid Rock and Bygones featuring Rob Halford with special guests Nikki Sixx & John 5.
Other original tracks include I Want You Back with Steven Tyler and special guest Warren Haynes, My Blue Tears with Simon Le Bon, Bittersweet with Michael McDonald, Tried to Rock and Roll Me with Melissa Etheridge and I Dreamed About Elvis featuring Ronnie McDowell and special guests The Jordanaires.
The iconic covers on the album include Every Breath You Take with Sting, I Hate Myself For Loving You with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction with Pink and Brandi Carlile, Heart of Glass with Debbie Harry, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me with Elton John, Stairway to Heaven with Lizzo and Sasha Flute, Heartbreaker with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo), Let It Be with Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr and special guests Peter Frampton & Mick Fleetwood) and Free Bird with Ronnie Van Zant plus special guests Gary Rossington, Artimus Pyle and The Artimus Pyle Band.
