Pregnant Tracy Beaker star Chelsie Padley shows off her burgeoning baby bump

She’s counting down the days until she welcomes her first child.

And Tracey Beaker star Chelsie Padley marvelled at her changing figure as she snapped a selfie showing off her burgeoning baby bump on Thursday.

Clad in a pair of pants and rolling up her top to expose her stomach, she wrote: ‘It’s just the coolest thing ever’.

Makeup-free and with her blonde locks swept up into a bun, Chelsie looked positively radiant in the snap.

The actress, 31, looked a far cry from her role as Louise Govern in the early series of the iconic CBBC show, which she left in 2004.

Last month, she celebrated reaching a pregnancy milestone, announcing: ‘THIRD TRIMESTER HOW YOU DOINNNNNN!?’ alongside a series of snaps showing off her bump.

She captioned the shots: ‘Oh lordy, second trimester….you were just as cliche as everyone told me you were gonna be. Apart from the standard (and very glamorous) symptoms pregnancy brings, you were bloody glorious.

‘I fell in love with the journey, became a full on no apologies bump w***er and have so enjoyed carrying my baby girl around.

‘Now finally on to the third trimester as I’m 28 weeks today and I feel like last weeks heatwave was just a small teaser….which I found reaaaaally tough.

‘The acid reflux has stepped up a notch, the swelling is a treat and by the end of my working shift I’m absolutely done in BUT this feels like the final countdown now.

’12 weeks to go (give or take) and I already feel like there’s no room left….I know you mums are all thinking just you wait the female body is FOOKING incredible.

‘By the way, the mark on the side of my tummy is a bruise because I keep bumping into things (like door handles) not remembering I’ve grown a wee bit.

‘How are you other wonderful preggos getting on!? Sending love to those who aren’t enjoying it so much or having a hard time.’

Chelsie was part of the original Tracy Beaker cast when the show began in 2002, starring as the titular heroine’s best pal Louise.

Based on the book series by Jacqueline Wilson, her character famously ditched Tracy – played by Dani Harmer – to form a friendship with Justine at The Dumping Ground, before leaving the home in 2004.

The show focused on the fast-speaking heroine and the other kids living in the children’s home after she was abandoned by her mother.

It has gone on to become one of the most popular CBBC franchises, with six books, three TV series, a number of successful spin-offs and a television movie.

In 2021, Chelsie briefly reprised her role as Louise in a music video for the show’s iconic theme song, making a cameo in the clip as a courier.
