Pregnant Rihanna shows off her baby bump in denim at Louis Vuitton show

Rihanna made a statement as she showed off her blossoming baby bump on the front row of Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show on Tuesday night.

The singer, 35, who is expecting her second child, arrived fashionably late with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky, 34.

The couple turned out to support Pharrell Williams as he made his creative director debut with the menswear spring/ summer 2024 collection.

Rihanna wore a crop top, jeans and oversized shirt all in the ‘damoflage print’ which Pharrell created for the upcoming range.

It combines the checkerboard Damier motif with classic camouflage. A$AP also wore denim.

The couple put on an affectionate display as they took their seats, with A$AP wrapping his arm around Rihanna, who rested her hand on his leg.

Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl halftime show in February.

Later at the Met Gala with her boyfriend, Rihanna shared with ET her latest pregnancy was ‘so different’ from the first one. ‘No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it,’ she explained.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been friends and collaborators for more than a decade, and they even attended red-carpet events together in recent years, but it wasn’t until late 2020 that they officially became a couple.

After the Super Bowl and pregnancy reveal, the couple appeared on the March cover of British Vogue, where Rihanna gushed Rocky is her ‘best friend’ and admitted she can’t remember what her life was like before having her son in May 2022.

The couple joined a whole host of stars including Beyonce, Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian turned up to watch Pharrell Williams make his debut as the creative director.

An audience gathered along the Seine River craned to catch a glimpse of the show which continued LV’s approach of mixing street style with luxury.

‘I’m the second Black man to ever experience this on the planet, the biggest fashion house in the world,’ Pharrell said in an interview before the show, referring to his job since February.

The singer and producer, 50, ended months of speculation by filling the shoes of his friend Virgil Abloh who held the job from March 2018 until his death in November 2021.

Abloh had been the industry’s highest profile Black designer, credited with forging a place for street style and loose skateboard looks in high-end fashion.

‘My brother Virgil was the first. He made so many strides for the house, and did so many things. He brought skate culture into this world – while being an American Black man. It’s unreal the fact that I get to do this as well,’ said Pharrell.

LVMH Chairman and Chief Executive Bernard Arnault and his family, whom the star has known for years, have been ‘extremely supportive’ in his new role, he said.

Pharrell was first introduced to the Arnault clan in a collaboration to design sunglasses with Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs in 2004.

The appointment raised eyebrows despite his extensive fashion experience, including founding streetwear brands with Japanese designer Nigo and designing capsule collections at Chanel.

But Pharrell brushed off skeptics who question his lack of formal fashion training. ‘I also didn’t go to Juilliard for music and I’m doing OK,’ he said.
