A noughties girl band is set to reunite for a huge music festival next month, 20 years after forming on Popstar: The Rival.
The reality show saw the formation of Girls Aloud, who went on to huge success, having bagged numerous awards and sold over 3 million albums in the UK.
However, they weren’t the only girl group to have formed on the show, with Clea also emerging after being pipped to the post by Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding.
The group, made up of Chloe Morgan, Lynsey Brown, Emma Beard and Aimee Kearsley went on to have moderate success with singles including Download It, The Lie and Stuck in the Middle.
But things soon turned sour for the girls when Chloe left the group on 2004, with Lysdney doing the same two years later.

And now, 20 years after they released their first single, Clea are back with a huge performance at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London’s Brockwell Park.
The girls will join the likes of Kelly Rowland, Kelis, Natasha Bedingfield and Rachel Stevens at the event.
Sharing the news on their Instagram account, Clea penned: ‘We can’t wait to be reunited at @mightyhoopla on Saturday 3rd June at Brockwell Park London to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
‘Join @cleagirlband and follow our journey back to stage.’
And after the girls asked for setlist request, fans were quick to flood the comments with suggestions, with Ryan Clark leading the way as he wrote: ‘YESSSSS GIVE ME DOWNLOAD IT [and] DRIPPING IN BLACK PLEAAAAASE.’
With the girls then responding: ‘haha! We’re looking for a fifth member are you in? …CLEAR,’
Rylan, who’s career also started from a reality singing show, also shared his delight at their reunion on his BBC Radio 2 show, where he also played their song Download It.
He said: ‘I got the news that this girl band are reforming and they’re gonna be performing at Mighty Hoopla, which I’m very excited about, and I just love this track.’

Meanwhile, as Clea celebrate their 20 year anniversary, Rylan himself marked 11 years since former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger put him through to the live shows of the competition on Instagram on Friday.
Former aspiring pop star Rylan, 34, was so overcome with emotion when Nicole, 44, told him he had made the final stages of the competition, he broke down into a sobbing, screaming mess and collapsed to the ground with equal measures of relief and joy.
And while Rylan may not have embarked on a career as an international recording artist, he has made a name for himself as a television presenter and reality star.
Taking to social media this week, Rylan posted a picture of himself with his arm draped across Nicole’s shoulder as he wore a gold shirt, captioning his post: ’11 years,’ along with a red heart emoji.
Pussycat Dolls star Nicole looked glamorous in a white jacket and smiled as she stood alongside Rylan.

Ecstatic: Former aspiring pop star Rylan was so overcome with emotion when Nicole told him he’d made the final stages of the competition, he broke down into a sobbing, screaming mess (seen on the show in 2012)
In what was perhaps the most dramatic reaction of all time, he put on an Oscar-worthy performance as he collapsed to the floor in a fit of emotion.
The then 23-year-old wannabe was left rolling around on the floor unable to speak as he dealt with his emotions.
Choking back his tears, Rylan let out a series of gut-wrenching sobs as Nicole looked on in amusement.
Finally able to compose himself for long enough to give his new mentor a big hug, the flamboyant singer couldn’t seem able to believe that he was through.
