It’s the final part of the 2024 Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results! Who are the most attractive k-pop idols for 2023, according to Kpopalypse readers? Let’s take a look!
The last part of the Kpopalypse 2024 Objectification Survey is essentially the “face” category, where we take a look at the most attractive men and women in k-pop according to Kpopalypse readers! This section of the results is therefore completely politically correct and not objectifying or sexualising anybody whatsoever, because we all know that saying a boob is pretty is a very sexual statement, but saying a face is pretty is not sexual at all! Many Kpopalypse readers enjoyed being TC Candler for a day, let’s take a look at how they voted!
As per last year, voters were asked to choose up to three nominees in each category, best first, and points were allocated as per the following system:
- Your first choice was weighted 100% higher than your second choice
- Your second choice was weighted 66% higher than your third choice
- If you doubled or tripled on choices, only the first choice was counted
Scores were then tallied to give the final results across all categories.
The four results posts are as follows:
Part 1: FEMALE BOOBS and MALE ABS/TORSO – click HERE for the results!
Part 2: FEMALE and MALE ASSES – click HERE for the results!
Part 3: FEMALE and MALE LEGS – click HERE for the results!
Part 4: OVERALL MOST ATTRACTIVE FEMALES and MALES – this post!
Remember folks – that if you object to any of the choices here, you only have yourselves to blame as these were 100% your votes, not mine. Kpopalypse does not even cast a vote – this isn’t like a rigged Korean TV show where the “judges” get a say and can overturn fan opinion. If you want to see a certain result, then it’s your responsibility to spread the surveys to the people who are going to vote for your faves!
MOST ATTRACTIVE WOMEN IN K-POP
#1 – KARINA – AESPA
317 points
(2023 position – #1)
Another easy win for the queen of Kwangya, I guess they just make girls prettier over there. Now I just have to work out how to get a visa.
#2 – EUNHA – VIVIZ
213 points
(2023 position – #7)
Lots of eye-catching Viviz stages helped Eunha zoom up high in the polls this year. Or maybe Kpopalypse readers are just getting more influenced by my constant Eunha stanning. Either way, I support this development!
#3 – IRENE – RED VELVET
188 points
(2023 position – #4)
Despite Red Velvet having a relatively quiet year, Irene (aka the only western woman who can make Kim Jong Un smile) found a way to move up into the top three. This site still hasn’t gotten any traffic from North Korea yet, so those DPRK party members had better lift their game next year if they want to see Irene back at #1! Do it for socialism!
#4 – WONYOUNG – IVE
159 points
(2023 position – #14)
Wonyoung had no trouble moving high up into picture status this year, thanks to IVE’s increasing success and Wonyoung just being a popular person in general. I called it years ago – you know when someone attracts so many haters for no particular reason that a future star is being born.
#5 – NANA – AFTER SCHOOL/ORANGE CARAMEL
147 points
(2023 position – #16)
Yes, you read that right. Despite doing precisely five fifths of fuck all within k-pop over the last decade, people are still voting for Nana enough for her to have a seriously big impact in the polls. Even Nana recently getting the weirdest tattoos I’ve seen this side of a Russian prison wasn’t enough to deter people from voting, I guess she did some big thing in the drama world that I don’t follow maybe, or perhaps it’s just a testament to her beauty, I don’t know, I mean, what would I know…
#6 – MIYEON – (G)I-DLE
146 points
(2023 position – #21)
Miyeon hits picture status for the first time and it was probably inevitable that someone from G-Idle did given how high their star has been rising lately.
#7 – SANA – TWICE
144 points
(2023 position – #2)
Common reader favourite Sana takes a big dive this year. There was definitely a lot of movement in the female attractiveness category this year, I hope you voted and made your voice heard on these important issues!
#8 – CHAEWON – LE SSERAFIM
135 points
(2023 position – #3)
Chaewon also took a bit of a tumble through the placings, which I think has got to do with Le Sserafim’s more recent comebacks not really being worth sitting through long enough for people to notice that she’s still in the group.
#9 – JIHYO – TWICE
130 points
(2023 position – #5)
All Twice members suffered in the results a bit in 2024. We clearly need some new Twice bangers to put these girls back on the map.
#10 – TZUYU – TWICE
128 points
(2023 position – #6)
Yes, Twice are definitely in a cooling-off period, however when three entrants in the top ten is considered poor form you know your group is still onto something.
#11 – IU
127 points
(2023 position – #9)
Will the enduringly popular soloist IU ever exit these polls? It seems unlikely this decade, but who’s complaining?
#12 – SULLYOON – NMIXX
114 points
(2023 position – did not chart)
The first brand-new entrant to the overall attractiveness category is Sullyoon from NMixx! Will she stay in the polls or wiull we have a “change up” in 2025 where another member gets in instead? We will find out in twelve months!
#13 – SEULGI – RED VELVET
106 points
(2023 position – #39)
Seulgi rises hugely this year and just nudges into picture status! That rounds up the female categories for 2024!
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
#14 – Yujin – IVE
#15 – Yves
#16 – Mina – Twice
#17 – Momo – Twice
#18 – Natty – Kiss Of Life
#19 – Ningning – aespa
#20 – Winter – aespa
#21 – Eunbi
#22 – Yuna – Itzy
#23 – Yoohyeon – Dreamcatcher
#24 – Heejin – ARTMS
#25 – Soojin
#26 – Yeji – Itzy
#27 – Jeongyeon – Twice
#28 – Soyeon – G-Idle
#29 – Yel – H1-key
#30 – Chuu
#31 – Joy – Red Velvet
#32 – Minji – NewJeans
#33 – Jennie – Blackpink
#34 – Jiu – Dreamcatcher
#35 – Hyeju/Olivia Hye – Loossemble
#36 – Umji – Viviz
#37 – Julie – Kiss Of Life
#38 – Sunmi
#39 – Arin – Oh My Girl
#40 – Isa – StayC
#41 – Danielle – NewJeans
#42 – Yoona – Girls’ Generation
#43 – Moonbyul – Mamamoo
#44 – Chaeyoung – Twice
Now it’s time to take a look at the male category! Who are the hottest k-pop guys in 2024?
*
MOST ATTRACTIVE MEN IN K-POP
#1 – MINGYU – SEVENTEEN
219 points
(2023 position – #3)
It’s official – the fourth generation of k-pop is here! I had to quadrule-check my results to make sure someone didn’t cheat, but it’s true and legit, Mingyu has finally thrown a combo-breaker and put a stop to the Wonho clean sweep domination!
#2 – WONHO
197 points
(2023 position – #1)
The question now is, with Wonho at a disadvantage this year due to military service, will he regain momentum and retake the throne in 2025? His second placing this year is still well in front of everyone else, so anything’s possible!
#3 – SHINDONG – SUPER JUNIOR
139 points
(2023 position – #4)
There’s not too many people who excite Kpopalypse readers more than Shindong, and he gains a place this year! Mind you we all know how often I make mistakes with the pictures in these posts – this probably isn’t even a picture of Shindong.
#4 – TEN – NCT
121 points
(2023 position – #12)
NCT’s Ten had an extremely good year, rising up into the upper end of the charts easily!
#5 – KAI – EXO
170 points
(2023 position – #2)
Kai has always been a popular pick in these surveys, and while he slips a few places this year thanks to EXO being quieter than usual, he’s still very much a top contender!
#6 – JAEHYUN – NCT
109 points
(2023 position – #7)
NCT had a great year with several of their star performers moving up the charts. Jaehyun builds on his high performance last year and gains another place!
#7 – MINHO – SHINEE
104 points
(2023 position – #30)
People sure rediscovered SHINee’s Minho this year, thanks to some big Waterbomb performances and a general level of fanservice that isn’t often seen these days with SM artists. Kpopalypse approves!
#8 – JIWOONG – ZB1
103 points
(2023 position – did not chart)
Here’s our first brand-new entrant to the male overall attractiveness category, feel free to welcome Jiwoong however you see fit! (Just no deepfakes, we only do real images at Kpopalypse dot com thank you)
#9 – SAN – ATEEZ
98 points
(2023 position – #18)
San was another person who had a good year in 2024, rising in several categories. In the overall attractiveness results he gains a top ten placing for the first time!
#10 – FELIX – STRAY KIDS
88 points
(2023 position – #5)
After a great year in 2023, Felix now drops to the same position in the polls that he held in 2022! It’s tough competition out there.
#11 – TAEMIN – SHINEE
81 points
(2023 position – #16)
2024 really was a great year for SHINee members, and Taemin moves up into picture status once again! Even Onew (who nobody votes for anymore because of that groping in the club thing) probably still did better than in 2023…
#12 – RICKY – ZB1
78 points
(2023 position – did not chart)
ZeroBaseOne certainly are increasing in popularity lately, I can tell because their members are also increasing in popularity! The Objectification Surveys are really just a popularity contest on many levels, and this year it’s Ricky’s time to shine!
#13 – JUYEON – THE BOYZ
74 points
(2023 position – #19)
There’s been quite a lot of fresh blood in the Objectification Survey this year, and Juyeon from The Boyz is our final new entrant!
