Mackenzie Boyd started to feel the pressure of his secret fling with Chloe Atkinson on Friday’s Emmerdale as his new wife Charity Dingle unknowingly met his child.
Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) was seen having a meltdown as he screamed and yelled into a pillow ahead of jetting off on his honeymoon with Charity (Emma Atkins).
The happy couple tied the knot in Thursday’s episode while Chloe (Amy Nuttall) was seen giving birth to a son called Reuben in mirroring scenes.
With Charity still unaware of Mackenzie’s one-night stand with Chloe, the pressure ramped up on Friday when the couple went around to meet Chloe’s baby.
Mackenzie and Chloe were left feeling awkward as Charity kindly offered for the new mother to live with them, as Chloe revealed she would be moving back to Aberdeen.

Chloe declined the offer and the couple left for their honeymoon, but not before Mackenzie snuck off and had a meltdown after meeting his son.
The growing tension kicked off when Charity insisted she and Mackenzie drop by to visit Chloe before heading off on their honeymoon.
She said: ‘It’s Chloe, she’s back home with the baby, she’s posted a picture, isn’t he gorgeous.’
But Mackenzie insisted: ‘It’s a baby, they all look the same.’
Charity said: ‘Why don’t we just pop around quickly?’, but Mackenzie asked: ‘Why would we do that?’
Charity said: ‘To see the baby and see congratulations,’ before insisting they go around to support Chloe.
After the couple arrived at the house, Mackenzie was seen lurking awkwardly in the background as his new wife Charity fawned over the baby, unaware he is the father.
Charity then began recalling their wedding day to Chloe, gushing: ‘Then he decides to make this full romantic speech in the church, didn’t know anything about it.

‘You were amazing, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Best wedding I ever had, and hopefully my last.’
The situation then got more awkward when Charity asked to hold baby Reuben and lambasted the mystery father for not being involved, unaware it is actually her husband.
Charity said: ‘Chloe he looks just like you, I don’t know about the nose, is that daddy’s? Silly man doesn’t know what he’s missing.’
Urging Mackenzie to meet the little one, Charity said: ‘Come and say hello,’ but Mackenzie replied: ‘I can see him from here.’
As Mackenzie walked over to see the baby, Charity asked: ‘Isn’t he beautiful?’
While Mackenzie appeared emotional as he admitted: ‘Yeah, yeah he is.’
The newlyweds then prepared to leave and said their goodbyes, only for the new mother to drop the bombshell that she plans to move back to Aberdeen.
Charity asked: ‘Aberdeen? What when was that decided?’
She then added: ‘Come and stay with us! You can’t go Aberdeen it’s miles away.’
Giving Mackenzie an awkward look, Chloe said: ‘No, yours is as crowded as here,’ referring to Amy’s house, where she is staying.
After they returned home, Mackenzie pretended he had left his passport in the house so he could have a moment alone, rejecting Charity’s offers to get it for him.
Inside the house, it seemed Mackenzie was feeling the pressure of his ongoing web of lies as he screamed into a pillow and became enraged.
He then composed himself and got back into the car with Charity as the couple headed off for their honeymoon, with the secret still looming over them.
It comes after Charity and Mackenzie’s wedding day was thrown into chaos after they were arrested for driving a van involved in a robbery.
They were both arrested by police in a van that his sister Moira (Natalie J Robb) had given them – leading viewers to believe she set it all up.
The pair have not been getting on and found themselves embroiled in a heated showdown on Tuesday where Moira was accused by Charity of trying to sabotage the nuptials as she let her paranoia get the better of her.
On Wednesday, Moira went round to their house to make amends and said they could use an A-team replica van she had found for their themed wedding ceremony.
Later when they were getting frisky in the vehicle they were approached by police who said that the van had been used in a robbery days before. They were then taken into custody.

Rush! However, they were later released from jail and they rushed to finally tie the knot at their A-Team themed wedding
On Thursday, Charity was then heard telling police that Moira was ‘behind all of this’, only to be told that she had spent all night trying to get them released from prison.
Moira was then seen speaking to PC Mike Swirling (Andy Whitaker), trying to convince him Charity and Mackenzie weren’t involved in the robbery.
When they thought all hope was lost, the couple were then released from prison after Moira and PC Swirling banded together to make it happen.
They piled into the van and sped away from the police station in a desparate bid to make it to the church on time as Moira yelled: ‘Get in! We don’t have time, come on!’
As they made their way there very slowly with PC Swirling driving, they begged the police officer: ‘Come on Swirling, put your foot down!’
An action sequence then saw the A-Team theme music blaring out as the van drove at high speeds along the lane, charging towards vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
With Charles thinking the couple weren’t coming, he started to drive away in his car, only to nearly be hit head on by the speeding van.
A shocked onlooker exclaimed: ‘They’re going way too fast!’
However, they managed to avoid any injury and instead knocked over a pile of boxes, with viewers left in stitches at the amusing sequence.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: ‘Omg words fail me,’ while another commented: ‘Nice driving.’
Commenting on PC Swirling, a third said: ‘Deserves a BAFTA for outstanding service to be the only policeman in the Dales.’
A fourth tweeted: ‘What on Earth is happing in Emmerdale,’ while a fifth added: ‘A-Team theme tune, WTF?’

After the action driving sequence, Mackenzie mysteriously exited after checking his phone, with fans wondering whether he had gone to the hospital to see Chloe.
But he seemingly didn’t show up at the hospital and almost missed his wedding after his lengthy absence, before returning at the last minute to marry Charity.
As they got to the altar, it seemed he might finally confess his affair with Chloe to Charity as he said he hadn’t been ‘honest’.
He told his wife-to-be: ‘Actually, I do want to say something. I’m sorry, but I’ve not been entirely honest with you.
‘So the day that we got engaged I promised you that would be a moment everything went right for us, but that wasn’t true.
‘Because for me, it all started to go right when I met you. I know we promised there would be no speeches, but I need you and everyone here to know… there’s nothing more important to me. That’s why I was late, I was writing this.’
The happy couple then got married and went to celebrate their union with their loved ones, where they were told that Chloe had given birth to a son called Reuben.
Charity said: ‘Shall we have a little toast? To Chloe and to Reuben,’ while Mackenzie looked on anxiously.
Charity and Mackenzie then shared a private moment when the bride told her new husband to close his eyes while she delivered a speech of her own.
She said: ‘Um, what you said in the church, it was lovely and that’s why I kind of wanted to do the same, but I can’t do it with your eyes open because it’s kind of cringe.
‘The reason I didn’t want to do speeches is because all we seem to do is go over the past, and that’s not my favourite place to be… what is my favourite place is here and now with you.’
She poignantly continued: ‘God only knows what tomorrow will bring, there will be something, there always is, it’s only a matter of time, but we can get through anything.
Secret: When Mackenzie said he hadn’t been ‘honest’ at the altar, it looked like Charity might finally found out about his fling with Chloe, which saw her become pregnant
Newlyweds: However, he simply delivered an emotional speech and the couple successfully got married
‘For the first time in my life I know what’s important, it’s that we’ve got each other, just me and you,’ she concluded.
Mackenzie then said: ‘It will always just be me and you.’
The screen then flashed to show Chloe with her newborn baby as she said: ‘It’s just you and me now,’ referencing Mackenzie’s lack of involvement with the child.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
