Nicola Peltz caused confusion among her followers by sparking ‘pregnancy’ speculation when she shared a photo of herself with a ‘bump’ on Thursday.
The actress, 28, was flooded with comments on Instagram asking if she was expecting a baby with her husband Brooklyn Beckham.
In the photo, Nicola sported a white vest top that showed off her midriff along with a pair of pink tracksuit bottoms.
The star captioned the photo: ‘Some Lola film’, revealing she was actually on a movie set when it was taken.
Nicola has written, produced and co-directed a film called Lola James, and it is possible her character may be pregnant in the flick, which was filmed in March and April of 2021.
Speculation: Nicola Peltz sparked pregnancy rumours when she shared a photo of herself with a bump on Thursday
Project: The snap was from a film set, with Nicola’s husband Brooklyn writing: ‘So proud of you, can’t believe you wrote, directed and starred in this’
Heartwarming: Nicola also shared other snaps from the film, including one where actor Luke David Blumm, who plays her brother Arlo, gave her a hug
However, this didn’t stop people from speculating whether she could be expecting her first child, with one user writing: ‘Baby incoming?’
Another user added: ‘Looks pregnant,’ while a third said: ‘Omg I thought it ws a pregnancy announcement’.
Brooklyn shared Nicola’s photo on his Instagram Stories and wrote: ‘So proud of you, can’t believe you wrote, directoed and starred in this, love you xx’.
According to Deadline, the movie is set in 2002 middle America and centres around 19-year-old Lola (Nicola) who is trying to save money to get her younger brother Arlo out of their toxic home.
Virginia Madsen will play Lola’s mother Mona, a religious woman who demands strict obediance from her children.
The film is in post-production although it does not appear to have been given a release date yet.
Nicola also shared other snaps from the film, including one where actor Luke David Blumm, who plays Arlo, gave her a hug.
In another shot, she posed in a white vest while sat in a car while another showed her wrapped in a dressing gown while perched on a countertop.
Nicola boasts an impressive acting resume from appearing in the hit Psycho spin-off series, Bates Motel (2013-2015), to starring alongside Mark Wahlberg in Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014).
Most recently, the blonde beauty played real-life Playboy playmate Dorothy Stratten in the Hulu mini-series, Welcome to Chippendales (2022).
It comes after a new lawsuit claimed that the actress’ father Nelson Peltz, 80, wanted to call off her ‘sh*t show’ wedding to Brooklyn, but that her mother Claudia, 67, feared that it was ‘destroy’ her career.
The alleged details of the star-studded wedding, which took place in April, were revealed in a counterclaim filed by planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, who Peltz claims he fired just weeks before the wedding over alleged ‘mistakes.’
Nicola’s lavish wedding to Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn was held at the Peltz family’s $91million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida this past April, which reportedly cost over $3.6million to pull off.

Reaction: Not realising the snap was from a film set, several of Nicola’s fans speculated she might be pregnant
Though Nicola called the three-day soiree the ‘most beautiful weekend of my life,’ lawsuits filed by her father and the axed wedding planners paint a messier picture.
Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events were left ‘devastated’ earlier this month when billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz launched a lawsuit demanding his nearly $160,000 deposit back over the pair’s alleged ‘mistakes.’
But last week, Ms Braghin and Ms Grijalba hit back calling Mr Peltz a ‘bully billionaire’ and filed a counterclaim in a Miami court for breach of contract and ‘interference’ with a business deal.
They are also suing bride Nicola, Claudia, and wedding designer Rishi Patel for damages of at least $49,000 plus costs, which could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Braghin and Grijalba’s company Plan Design Events was hired in February 2022, just six weeks before the lavish wedding.
More than 500 guests attended, including TV chef Gordon Ramsay, Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria, Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C and David Beckham’s former Manchester United teammate Phil Neville.
The planners agreed to a fee of $320,000, with Mr Peltz paying a deposit of half that amount.
They were taking over from Preston Bailey – an icon in the industry who previously planned Catherine Zeta-Jones’ wedding to Michael Douglas. He said he left by mutual agreement after a year’s work because his schedule was ‘overcommitted’.
But the planners who replaced him claim things were so chaotic – with multiple guest lists and a bride allegedly ‘too busy’ to speak on the phone – that things went downhill quickly.
The court documents contain hundreds of WhatsApp chat messages texts and emails which show guest lists were incomplete, travel arrangements had not been made and even the flowers and cake still needed to be sorted out.
Hair and make-up artists and photographers and videographers had also not been confirmed.
And when the planners came up with an idea for a wedding band Nicole branded them ‘cheesy’ and only wanted the lead singer.
Ms Braghin and Ms Grijalba say they worked 17-hour days to try to cater to their clients’ demands.

And while there had already been reports of a fall-out between Nicola and her future mother-in-law because the bride chose to wear a Valentino couture gown rather than a dress from Victoria’s label (a feud Nicola later denied), it was clear, the lawsuit says, that the Peltzes did not want their new in-laws to be aware of the last-minute glitches.
‘Both Claudia and Nicola had insisted that Victoria Beckham could not know about any internal mistakes regarding the ongoing planning of her son’s wedding, including any errors with the guest list’, the court filing states.
During a meeting on March 1 last year: ‘Nelson said, in front of Braghin and Grijalba, that he wanted to ‘cancel the wedding’ and that it was ‘a s*** show’, but Claudia begged Nelson not to because it would ‘destroy Nicola’s career.’ ‘
While Mr Peltz paid a reported $3,000,000 plus for the event, the court papers allege there were some expenses his wife wanted to keep private: ‘It is believed that Nelson Peltz paid more than $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicola’s hair and make-up services for the wedding.
Claudia mentioned to Braghin that Nelson could not know the cost or he would ‘kill her and be so mad.’
Nicola previously credited her mother for being ‘such a big help in my wedding’ in a September 2022 interview with Wonderland magazine.
She also noted that she was in the midst of filming Welcome to Chippendales while the wedding was being planned.
Ms Braghin, 42, and Ms Grijalba, 40, who have spent 17 years building up their business, reveal Nicola sent them a gushing text the day before they were fired saying: ‘You’re killing it!’ Their lawsuit also includes messages from Brooklyn, who they describe as ‘a perfect gentleman’, praising them ‘for everything you guys are doing’.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘This lawsuit epitomizes the world of the uber-wealthy.
‘These event planners came into a difficult situation, just six weeks before a wedding that was going to get worldwide attention, and put their hearts and souls into it.
‘Nothing ever seemed to be good enough. This shines a light into how the other half live – and it’s not always a pretty picture.’
A spokesman for Mr Peltz said that the planners’ complaint ‘is replete with inaccuracies and their claims have no merit’.
Nicola and Brooklyn began dating in October 2019 but took their relationship public the following January.
The pair were introduced six years prior to their 2022 wedding through Nicola’s brother Diesel while attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
She recalled that she and the aspiring chef ‘really didn’t get along’ when they first met and ‘just didn’t click.’
Brooklyn proposed in July 2020, but he later revealed on his online cookery show, Cookin’ With Beckham in 2021 that Nicola gave him a ‘delayed yes.’
‘She just started crying her eyes out, but she didn’t say yes for like five minutes,’ he recalled to co-host Sebastian Yatra.
