Bernice Blackstock’s feud with her sister Nicola King over the B&B descended into a food fight in Friday’s episode of Emmerdale.
Earlier this week, the sisters were at loggerheads because both wanted to take over the Grange, owned for years by Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell).
It seemed that Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Jimmy (Nick Miles) were going to be the new owners after they raised the asking price of the B&B and told Eric.
But on Friday’s episode, Nicola bumped into Bernice (Samantha Giles) and was furious, revealing that she knew Eric had given her and Bob an extra day to raise the funds and that she knew they would be taking over the B&B.
The two began arguing, with Bernice emptying food waste for the anaerobic digester all over Nicola.

Nicola retaliated, also hitting Bernice with the rancid old scraps meant for the rubbish.
She hissed: ‘You absolute cow’, as the row got even more heated, throwing waste into her sister’s face.
The war of wards escalated into full on mutiny, with Nicola screaming and hitting Bernice with more rubbish.
Despite the nasty fight between the siblings, Bernice was later very happy as she and Bob managed to raise the funds and took over the B&B, toasting with bubbly.
Bob sold his and Viv’s (Deena Payne) wedding rings so that they could reach their target and get to the asking price.
Bernice made her grand return to Emmerdale in 2021, after two years out.
She had left after dumping Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), the night before their wedding, subsequently disappearing.
Bernice caused chaos with her return because Liam was preparing to wed Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) before she came back.

Bernice left hurriedly for Australia to look after her former husband, Charlie, who had been involved in an accident.
She was set to make life complicated for Liam and Leyla. Broken-hearted Liam took time to recover after his ex-fiancée disappeared and was furious that she was returning just as he got his life together.
As for Bernice’s daughter Gabby (Rosie Bentham) – who was pregnant – she was not thrilled that her unreliable mother had returned, as she was flourishing at Home Farm under the guidance of Kim Tate (Claire King).
Speaking about actress Samantha’s return to the soap, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said at the time: ‘I am thrilled to have Samantha Giles returning to Emmerdale as Bernice.
‘Samantha is such a fabulous actress and her portrayal of Bernice is a wonderfully warm, complex mix of tragedy and comedy that always brings a whirlwind of fun and drama.’
She added: ‘Constantly misunderstood, often getting things terribly wrong, Bernice promises to cause quite a stir from the moment she lands back in the village and will certainly turn lives upside down as she tries to navigate through the changes since she left.’

Opening up about her decision to return to the Yorkshire Dales, Samantha added at the time: ‘As an actress leaving a role that you love is always a hard decision and I’d been lucky to work so consistently for so long which is rare in our business.’
She continued: ‘So I knew the time had come to be brave and take the leap back in 2019 to pursue my other passion of writing and focus on getting my first book published.
‘I’m a big believer in fate so when Emmerdale offered me the chance to return as Bernice I took it as a sign that it was meant to be.’
Samantha concluded: ‘I’m delighted to be returning to play out Bernice’s future storylines which I’m sure are going to keep the audience entertained.
‘She certainly arrives back with a bang that’s all I’m allowed to say right now and I’m looking forward to releasing my next two books whilst juggling her hectic onscreen life!’
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
