Charlie Simpson has hinted a Busted reunion could be on the cards for the band’s 20th anniversary this year.
The rocker, 37, admitted while he is ‘sworn to secrecy’ about the project, there ‘may be some plans’ underway.
The pop punk trio first split in 2005, before reforming for an arena tour in the UK and Ireland in 2016.
On Monday, the musician appeared on both Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, and ITV daytime show Lorraine to chat about his recent The Masked Singer win.
First, while on the radio, Charlie was asked if there were plans for a Busted anniversary tour or album, to which he admitted: ‘Oh! It might be coming,’ but swiftly added: ‘If it was coming I would be sworn to secrecy again.’

Later, the crooner further teased an upcoming project with former bandmates Matt Willis and James Bourne, as he told Lorraine Kelly that there ‘may be some plans’ for a 20-year anniversary reunion.
While on Capital Breakfast, Charlie admitted that his Busted bandmember Matt Willis ‘knew’ he was on The Masked Singer.
He said: ‘My mum wife knew, otherwise she’d think I was having an affair otherwise. Then, no one else knew.
‘The Busted boys, I was with them recently and they didn’t say anything to me which I found strange.
‘And Matt sort of said and he was reading something and mentioned The Masked Singer and then just looked at me and everyone started laughing and he was like ”it’s clearly you”. So yeah I didn’t tell them it was me, but I think they knew.
Elsewhere on Lorraine, Charlie spoke of his stint on The Masked Singer, telling her: ‘I only told my wife.
‘I tried to keep it a secret but the first time watched as a family my kids knew immediately. They couldn’t figure out how I was watching it with them but was on the TV at the same time.’
Speaking about why he opted for his Rhino costume, the singer explained: ‘I chose it because my wife grew up in Kenya and to represent that.’

Winner! It comes after Charlie was unveiled as Rhino and crowned the winner of The Masked Singer during Saturday night’s finale
Asked how he found the experience, Charlie confessed: ‘I was terrified – it was so alien being in this costume and songs I didn’t know so well and remembering the lyrics. I’ve been on stage before and had a huge blank.
‘You get walked everywhere u go [in the costume]. You see a little bit and they give u mesh vision in the face – but it’s all a bit of a blur. And when you perform the lights are really bright.’
The star has a distinctive singing voice, which he didn’t disguise, but explained: ‘I thought they wouldn’t be songs people put me in a bracket with.
‘I got lots of texts with people thinking it was me, though.’
Charlie also addressed the speculation that Rhino was James Arthur, saying: ‘ I know people thought it was him. we’ve been compared a lot over the years. but he’s brilliant.’
Charlie sensationally brought an end to the popular band when he walked out of Busted in 2005.
Talking to Kerrang! magazine 10 years later, the metal-head explained: ‘I was close to getting depressed as you could ever get, and I was worried I might turn to drink or drugs.
‘It was really nothing to do with Matt and James, though.’
Since first splitting in 2005, the three members of Busted have gone on to pursue their own unique career paths.
Charlie founded metal band Fightstar and has also enjoyed moderate success as a solo artist.
Matt Willis went on to pursue a career in TV after winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2006 and subsequently married wife Emma in 2008, before helping to found McBusted in 2013.
James Bourne meanwhile went on to form the ill-fated pop-punk band Son Of Dork, however, the singer-songwriter then went on to pen three musicals as well as found McBusted alongside Matt.
