Benidorm star Hannah Hobley gives birth to her first child

Benidorm star Hannah Hobley has announced she’s given birth to her first child – a baby girl – two weeks after due date.

The actress, 34, – who is best known for playing Chantelle Garvey in the ITV comedy – took to Instagram on Tuesday to share sweet pictures with her new arrival.

Hannah and her partner Nathan Smith revealed they had named their daughter Beatrice Hobley-Smith in the loving post.

She said: ‘Please excuse my absence from @benicontv over the weekend. This little lady arrived two weeks later than expected, but she was well and truly worth the wait.

‘@nathrichsmith and I would like to proudly introduce you all to our daughter, Beatrice Hobley-Smith. Born on the 5th November A date we will always remember.

‘For those that did attend, you will have gotten the first glimpse of Beatrice last night at the Benidorm Palace (virtually).

Fellow actor Cheryl Fergison among those who offered their well wishes, writing: ‘Congratulations you two mama and papa’. 

Hannah is best known for her role on Benidorm, having played the character Chantelle – also known as Telle.

She appeared on the show from 2007 until her departure in 2009.

Hannah played the daughter of Mick Garvey (Steve Pemberton) and Janice Garvey (Siobhan Finneran).

Benidorm fans were overjoyed when Hannah announced her pregnancy via Instagram back in August by recreating her classic Chantelle get up. 

The actress wore a pink tracksuit and posed with her hands on her hips and her pregnancy bump front and centre.

Hannah captioned the image, ‘Spot the difference…’ and hilariously clarified in a later comment: ‘Just to clarify- this is NOT a hoax.’
